2009 Youth Summer Football Mini-Camp

Each year it is my honor to host the Terrell Owens Youth Summer Camp. It is the one time of year that I truly look forward to giving back to kids who constantly give inspiration to me in every area of life. As I embark upon a new season with a new team, this year’s camp in Dallaswas especially special to me. With the help of my former Cowboy teammates as well as the support and assistance from my new Buffalo Bills family, I was able to witness unity amongst men like never before. The hands that extend to help me make each years camp successful motivate me to continue to push forward and extend that same helping hand to each of the campers that attend my camp.

Going in, I thought this camp would serve as my final farewell to the kids and communities of Dallas, however at the close of the camp, I realized that no matter where I am whether in Dallas or Buffalo, the support of my fans is not limited to any one city. I am grateful that I've had the opportunity to play a sport that I love. I'm even more grateful that through this camp, I'm able to shape, sharpen and develop the skills of so many young men with hopes to produce better athletes on the field and better men off the field.

I personally want to thank each and every young man, ages 7-17 that came out to support this years camp. The best is truly yet to come and I'm looking forward to taking that journey (wherever it leads) together... I'd also like to give a special shout out to Corey Borner, who wasn't able to attend this year’s camp due to injury, yet whose story and strength will inspire my best season yet. Corey, your courage is encouragement to us all.

Though we haven't picked a location for next year's camp, one thing is for sure...Getcha Popcorn Ready Now, because wherever we decide to do it...it's going to be amazing!
